Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our team at SLR Consulting (Canada). As a key member of our Land Quality and Remediation team in Regina, you will be responsible for managing a variety of programs related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites.

With a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, you will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in contaminated site work, including managing and leading environmental site assessments (Phase I, II, and III ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation programs.

As a seasoned professional, you will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders. You will also have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements unique to oil and gas facilities, construction sites, subsurface investigations, and contaminated sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively delegate and oversee project tasks to manage small technical groups and technical programs, including all facets of project delivery
  • Communicate directly with clients to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assist in mentoring junior and intermediate staff in project management/fieldwork/task management skills
  • Provide leadership in Health and Safety through open and positive communications with all staff
  • Participate in all facets of contaminated site projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation projects, field sampling, and reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree or a technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental related studies
  • 10+ years of experience in contaminated site work, including managing and leading environmental site assessments (Phase I, II, and III ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation programs
  • Experience working in the energy sector is a significant asset
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for occasional travel to job sites/client facilities
