Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Description

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and external partners;
  • Developing and implementing collaborative plans to achieve our environmental goals;
  • Managing the society's finances, including budgeting, grants, and funding reports;
  • Representing the organization in a variety of settings, including public speaking and advocacy;
  • Leading the Special Publications program, including publishing books about natural history in Saskatchewan;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a senior managerial role;
  • Broad knowledge of conservation science, planning, and stewardship;
  • Working knowledge of Saskatchewan's ecosystems, landscapes, and current ecological issues;
  • Strong management experience, including project management, supervisory, and personnel management skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with financials, including budgeting and working with multiple funders;
Work Environment
