Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Beam Suntory. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our steam plant and facilities maintenance departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of unionized power plant operators and ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage equipment operation and maintenance, including scheduling and coordinating services with external vendors.
- Monitor and control utility supplies and usage, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain operational budgets and expenditures, as well as prepare and review incident reports.
- Promote a strong safety and 5S culture within the department, supporting TRACC initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Active member of ABSA, with a 3rd Class Operating Engineers License for Alberta.
- 5-8 years of supervisory experience in production process, preferably in the food/beverage or chemical industry.
- Union exposure, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
