Wage Rate: $44.67 – $57.90

The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessment and brief counselling services to individuals with significant mental health needs. They will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with multiple service providers to meet the needs of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Recovery Principles and be able to provide short-term solution-focused and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy therapeutic models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor services to meet the needs of individuals with significant mental health needs
  • Provide high-quality assessment and brief counselling services
  • Work collaboratively with multiple service providers
  • Participate in the education of staff, students, and the larger community
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Recovery Principles and therapeutic models

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Membership in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience working with individuals with significant mental health needs
  • Training and experience in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Single Session Therapy
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and familiarity with DSM-V
  • Excellent assessment and treatment skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
