Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual budgets for branches within the assigned area of responsibility
  • Achieve sales growth and profitability of all areas in the division, including whole goods, parts, service, and administration
  • Achieve asset management goals, including turn and aging, and protect company assets while providing the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals
  • Manage and develop all employees within the division to build a motivated and successful workforce focused on long-term success for the company, customers, and employees
  • Establish targets for managers and evaluate their performance using KPIs provided by the company
  • Achieve market share goals for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company
  • Provide feedback and input into future opportunities and competitive pressures
  • Manage division account receivables in conjunction with the Director of Credit Services
  • Maintain an ongoing presence at assigned branches to provide leadership and supervision
  • Collaborate with suppliers
  • Coordinate and participate in events, including customer fly-ins, open-houses, recruitment events, etc.
Requirements
  • Strong financial understanding, cost management, business planning, and goal setting with management
  • Professional and resourceful style, ability to work independently and as part of a team, lead by example, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and adaptable style, leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives while bringing a strong problem-solving ability to the workplace
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and consistent focus on developing and maintaining good customer relations
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, with a minimum of 5 years in management and/or business operations
  • Degree or diploma with a business focus an asset but not mandatory
  • Previous sales and product support experience
  • Valid passport required for travel
