Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Motor Repair Specialist to join our team at Accu Electric Motors Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electric motors, transformers, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience with machining tools, welding, and braze components, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Weld or braze components
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
  • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors
  • Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in electric motor repair and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and manual dexterity
