About the Role:
The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Research Coordinator to join our HIV research group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple clinical trials, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage clinical trials, including site initiation, subject recruitment, and data management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and International Council on Harmonization – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with investigators, research staff, and external partners
- Collaborate with the research team to identify and address operational challenges and implement process improvements
- Provide training and support to research staff on clinical trial procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research, including multi-centre trial coordination
- Training certification in TCPS-2 and ICH-GCP
- Phlebotomy skills and experience handling lab samples
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (ACRP or SOCRA)
- Bilingualism
