We are seeking an experienced Audio Technologist to join our team at EA SPORTS Tech, specializing in advanced game audio pipelines. As a key member of our Technical Art Team, you will be responsible for creating shareable, future-facing tech and data, quality artist workflows, and collaborating with game teams, central staff, and the community on the future of audio for our organization.

About Us

EA SPORTS Tech provides specialized technology teams working on modern character motion, content pipelines, and workflows, machine learning, game security, dev ops, as well as long lead feature and technology development for all EA SPORTS titles. Our focus is on pushing audio/visual boundaries and experiences for our players. We combine creativity and imagination with technical expertise.

The Role

This 12-month contract position offers the possibility of long-term employment. As an Audio Technologist, your focus will be on building company-spanning audio standards, pipelines, and shared systems. You will work with and between game teams and our central team to identify needs, prioritize work, and collaborate on system designs, data structures, best practices, and project successes and risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with game and central teams on building company-spanning audio standards, pipelines, and shared systems
  • Build audio runtime systems with visual programming and scripting languages
  • Optimize and debug runtime audio data to work and fit within modern console limitations
  • Document and communicate system designs, data structures, best practices, and project successes and risks to partner team members and the greater EA community
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Successfully shipped at least one AAA game title in a technical audio role (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with both visual programming and text-based scripting/coding languages, with professional experience in at least one language
  • Signedificant experience debugging workflows, pipelines or runtime systems or assets
  • Signedificant experience in content/data management
  • Experience developing pipelines and workflows
  • Experience in sound design, audio editing, acoustics, music production or any audio post-production are a benefit
  • Creative mindset with focus on how to improve product quality and team productivity
Benefits

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
