Job Summary

Bretoba Contracting is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Operate various equipment and machinery, including bobcats, concrete vibrators, screeds, power-driven floats, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, grinding machines, chippers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, drills, trampers, torches, small front-end loaders, chain saws, compactors, and forklifts
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
