Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Supervisor to join our team at Delta Cedar Saw Mill LP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our lumber yard, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Work: Plan and coordinate the work schedule for our lumber yard team, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be carried out on our equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring that our operations run smoothly.
  • Quality and Production: Monitor quality and production levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize our performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit progress and other reports, providing regular updates to our management team.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that our operations have the necessary resources to function effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Equipment Operation: Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Team Management: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of our workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Training: Train staff and workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring that our team is equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Office and Volunteer Staff: Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
