Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lumber Yard Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our lumber yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling work, arranging for maintenance and repair work, monitoring quality and production levels, and preparing and submitting progress reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule work to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime
  • Monitor quality and production levels to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to management
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality
  • Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of workers
  • Train staff and workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
