Speech Language Pathology Clinician

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services for dysphagia and communication disorders to a diverse adult population. This includes neurology, medical, surgical, ICU, and geriatric clients on multiple acute medical units, complex care, and rehabilitation units. The ideal candidate will have expertise in swallowing assessment, including video fluoroscopic studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
- Provide consultation services to healthcare teams to promote patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in speech-language pathology to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
- Proven expertise in swallowing assessment, including video fluoroscopic studies.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
