Dysphagia Specialist for Mixed Adult Population

Halton Healthcare seeks a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services for dysphagia and communication disorders in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis position involves working with a mixed adult population, including neurology, medical, surgical, ICU, and geriatric clients on multiple acute medical units, complex care, and rehabilitation units. Video fluoroscopy coverage is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Utilize video fluoroscopic studies to inform treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet changing demands and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- 1-2 years of experience in assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
- A competitive salary range of $80-$120 per hour.
