About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Communications Officer to join our team in downtown Edmonton on a 6-month contract basis. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our communication systems and providing critical support during emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to emergency calls and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide critical information and updates to stakeholders during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including emergency services and government agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in emergency communications.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in emergency communications or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite.
