About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Christopher Stewart Wine & Spirits Inc. as an Office Administrative Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our team, including arranging seminars, conferences, and meetings, recording and preparing minutes, and maintaining office procedures and routines.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel, itineraries, and make reservations as needed.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and greet people, directing them to contacts or service areas.
  • Document Management: Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, type, and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
  • Inventory Management: Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Indigenous Support
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Visible Minority Support
  • Hiring Practices: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
