Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the Mississauga area. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site service and maintenance for our parking and access control hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site service and maintenance for parking and access control hardware and software.
  • Provide technical support for multiple products and systems.
  • Install and configure new equipment, including equipment bolt down, wiring termination, and establishing communications to software hosts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with parking and access control systems.
  • Work with various operating systems and have knowledge of networking for daily troubleshooting tasks.
  • Manage customer escalations and communicate technical information to clients and other field service technicians.

Requirements

  • Electronics technical school training or equivalent.
  • Microsoft operating systems experience required.
  • A clean driving record.
  • MS Windows Server and electronics experience preferred.
  • MS Network and MS A+ certifications preferred.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment exposed to extreme weather conditions.
  • Available to work scheduled weekend shifts and on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, late nights, and early morning hours.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational skills.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities on a technical level.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work with proprietary software, hardware communications, programming, and repair.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
