About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IPAC Specialist - Infection Prevention and Control Leader to provide expert guidance and leadership in infection prevention and control practices within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership in infection prevention and control practices, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Developing and implementing effective infection prevention and control strategies, including education, training, and policy development.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to identify and mitigate infection risks, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Conducting thorough assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Providing expert guidance and support to healthcare teams on infection prevention and control practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:
- A degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., nursing, laboratory, epidemiology, or allied health).
- Current registration and good standing with a regulatory body in Ontario.
- Previous experience as an IPAC practitioner in an acute care or long-term care setting, with a strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices.
- Completion of an entry-level infection control course and certification in Infection Prevention and Control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams.
- Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, microbiology, epidemiology, and statistics, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
What We Offer:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
