**Salary range is: $91,909.62 - $107,829.30 annually**
We are currently seeking a permanent full-time**, Clinical Director, Nursing and Quality for our Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Program**. The incumbent will work 37.5 hours a week, including some weekday evenings and Saturdays. The RAAM program is based out of the 60 West Drive location in Brampton and reports to the Senior Director Clinical Strategy and Services.
This position will provide clinical and strategic leadership for nursing across the organization and nursing community of practice. This includes clinical and administrative oversight of the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) team, the Mobile Health Clinic and support the Infection Prevention and Control Program. This position will also oversee and ensure the organizational quality improvement program.
**What you will do**
- Monitor and lead nursing model of care at CMHA Peel Dufferin, including policy review and Nursing Community of Practice.
- Evaluate nursing practices and ensure competency of nursing staff in accordance with accreditation standards of Practice, Ethical Standards, Legislated Regulated Health Professions Act, Patient Care, Hospital Standards and College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Provide day to day leadership to a multidisciplinary team of clinical program staff responsible for the Supervision of Registered Nurses, Concurrent Disorder Specialists, Trauma Therapist, Peer Support Worker, Medical Administrative Assistant and Nurse Practitioners in the RAAM program.
- Manage nursing services for the Mobile Health Clinic.
- Support the IPAC Committee in the development, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of CMHA’s IPAC and Vaccination Program.
- Support the IPAC Committee to prepare an action plan for gaps identified through surveillance / audit activities and facilitate corrective action as needed, including direct coaching and management of staff related to compliance gaps.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing education to staff on the principles and practices of infection prevention and control and new emerging infectious diseases and organisms.
- Monitor PPE procurement and ensure products are compliant with Health Canada Standards.
- Coordinate clinical placement of nursing students and facilitate learning needs of nursing students, in conjunction with their instructors or charge nurse.
- Facilitate problem solving, conflict resolution and integration/collaboration of nursing within interdisciplinary teams.
- Participate in the debrief, review and follow-up of critical incidents and medication errors and/or near misses involving nurses and nurse practitioners in collaboration with the agencies Service Risk Review Committee
- Support clinical risk management; ensure continual monitoring and reporting, as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of health and safety practices in the field and support compliance.
- Ensure clinical records and program data are maintained in accordance with the standards of CMHA and College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Ensure that necessary data related to the key quality indicators for nursing is available and collected for analysis.
