Closing the Gap Healthcare is dedicated to providing high-quality care to Canadians in various home and community settings. We are seeking a skilled NSWOC Nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with wound, ostomy, and continence care to enable them to remain in their home and community setting.
- Provide high-quality, appropriate nursing care to individuals with skin integrity issues related to wound management, ostomy care, and continence.
- Adhere to provincial regulatory body standards and practice guidelines to ensure safe and competent care.
- Assess, plan, and collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to establish and update care plans.
- Provide clinical advocacy and assess clients for appropriateness of virtual consults.
Requirements:
- Certificate in wound, ostomy, and continence care from a recognized educational institution.
- Previous experience in community or acute care settings with a focus on wound care is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the CNO.
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C) certification.
