About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our natural environment team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating programs, projects, and technical studies related to environmental consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate environmental programs, projects, and technical studies
  • Lead permitting and approvals acquisition activities at the local, provincial, and federal level
  • Scope, plan, develop, and implement field programs
  • Provide oversight to project team members
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary projects
  • Support stakeholder and regulator engagement
  • Business travel as required

Business Development

  • Prepare and support the preparation of project proposals
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders
  • Undertake business travel as required

Learning & Development

  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning
  • Input to the career development of junior staff
  • Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related Environmental Science
  • Proven professional work experience in environmental consulting
  • Valid driver's license

Experience

  • 5+ years of related environmental consulting experience
  • Proven expertise in local, provincial, and federal environmental legislation
  • Experience leading and/or managing land development and/or EA projects
  • Experience in preparation of Environmental Impact Studies and supporting applications
  • Experience in preparation of regulatory applications and submissions
  • Demonstrated success in project management, client relationship, and business development skills
  • Experience interacting with clients and team members to execute project delivery
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders and communities
  • Proficiency in project proposal preparation and presentations
  • Strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
