Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the design and development of complex transit-related development projects. This individual will manage external and internal communication and coordination, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and communication plans.
  • Mentor and oversee designers, engineers, and team members to ensure project quality and technical accuracy.
  • Make determinations for equipment, staff, and training needs as required.
  • Provide input and suggestions on project and program budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure project team adherence to project quality plan and follow processes in place to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and engineering best practices.
  • Coordinate work with other managers and staff.
  • Participate in client meetings and communicate with stakeholders to validate and verify designs and rejections.
  • Lead and coordinate meetings with all stakeholders to ensure timely project completion with consideration for public safety, constructability, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.
  • Provide feedback and input to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • P. Eng status or ability to transfer credentials.
  • 15+ years of demonstrable previous experience as a Construction Engineering Manager on large, heavy, public infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to lead a large, diverse, multi-functional team throughout the lifetime of the project.
  • Proficiency in CAD, design software, and construction software programs (Blubeam, Aconex, Primavera P6, etc).
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office).
