About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality plywood and veneer products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist processing workers in operating various woodworking machines and equipment
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines with raw materials
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products to the next stage of production
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually as needed
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets
Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots are a must-have for this role
  • Experience is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Permanent employment with 30-40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
