Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD as a Plywood and Veneer Plant Worker. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist processing workers in operating various woodworking machines and equipment
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets
Requirements
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. The work site environment is noisy and dusty, and the ability to work in this environment is essential.
