We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Design Engineer to join our team at Irving Oil Ltd. in a hybrid work environment.

As a member of our Engineering Services team, you will be working on various capital and expense projects, contributing to the safety, efficiency, reliability, production, and energy transition goals of our organization.

Your success as a Piping Engineer will be measured by your work on detailed design engineering activities, day-to-day technical support, long-term planning initiatives, and strategic projects.

About the Role:
  • You will assume responsibility for Piping Engineering design of piping systems for sustaining capital and expense projects at our refineries and terminal facilities.
  • You will provide technical review and sealing of piping engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • You will create and/or select piping line class specifications for new or upgraded piping systems, including all necessary calculations for governing jurisdiction acceptance.
About You:
  • You hold a University degree in Mechanical/Piping/Materials Engineering with a P.Eng. designation (or immediate eligibility) in New Brunswick.
  • You have a minimum of 12 years of experience in process and utility piping design in chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas plants, with a successful history of leading and supporting brownfield capital projects involving repairs, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment and piping in operating production facilities.
