At R.V. Anderson Associates Limited, we are seeking an experienced Senior Municipal Engineer/Project Manager to lead our team in St. John's office. As a key member of our corporate municipal practice, you will be responsible for developing and tracking the annual business plan and multi-year strategy for growth.

About This Opportunity

This role involves leading projects varying in scope and size related to roads, water distribution systems, sanitary sewage collection systems, flood protection, stormwater management, and storm drainage systems. You will oversee the planning and design of new facilities, as well as optimization and rehabilitation of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development and Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and build relationships with existing clients and prospects.
  2. Project Management: Lead and manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  3. Talent Development: Mentor and coach project teams, including technical and field staff, to enhance their skills and expertise.
  4. Clients and Stakeholders: Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and contractors to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.
  5. Quality and Standards: Ensure that all projects meet professional standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in municipal engineering, including at least 10 years working in a consultancy. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with registration in Newfoundland and Labrador or eligibility for registration.

A Project Management (PMP) designation is an asset, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. You must possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients, as well as experience in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other skills relevant to consulting.
