Job Title: IT Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team at the City of Edmonton. As a key member of our Planning and Delivery Branch, you will be responsible for managing projects that support Edmonton Police Service initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to EPS governance requirements.
  • Prepare project charters, defining scope, schedule, priorities, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities, milestones, and completion criteria.
  • Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders, ensuring regular project status reports are communicated.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a project leadership role in an IT environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation or relevant Project Management certification.
  • Previous experience working in a police environment and strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work well in dynamic environments.
