About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Consultant to join our Risk Engineering team at Sovereign Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments on commercial and farm properties, identifying risks and exposures, and providing expert advice to our underwriting partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk evaluations of commercial and farm properties to identify potential hazards and exposures.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize losses and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with underwriting partners to provide expert advice and guidance on risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Conduct site surveys to gather data and information on property conditions and risk factors.
  • Provide regular coaching and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in loss control/risk engineering, with a focus on commercial and farm risk.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and relevant fire and building codes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to travel regularly, with a valid driver's license and insurance.
