Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Plan and execute menus that meet our quality standards and cater to customer preferences.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to food safety protocols and WHMIS regulations.
  • Develop and implement efficient kitchen procedures to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to achieve our culinary goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and train kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
