Product Engineering Manager

At Masco Canada Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers responsible for the design, launch, and sustainability of all product categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers to develop, validate, and launch new products for Masco Canada operations, ensuring they meet the highest safety, quality, and product standards.
- Oversee all engineering-related functions for Masco Canada products, from cradle to grave, including new product launches, value engineering, warranty and quality support, and engineering change management.
- Review detail design drawings, DFMEAs, test plans, test instructions, and ensure design and standards protocols are followed.
- Review project technical specifications and business plans for content and accuracy.
- Identify project risks and aid in action plans to reduce risk.
- Present conceptual design sketches and ideas on potential new products and improvements.
- Work on design process improvements.
- Manage the pipeline of value engineering idea templates from generation through implementation.
- Manage department budget.
- Manage and drive employee talent and the people development process.
- Promote a culture of compliance.
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- P.Eng would be an asset.
- 8-10 years of experience in the field.
- A minimum of 5 years product development experience.
- The candidate must have engineering supervision experience.
- Project management experience would be an asset.
- Understanding of plumbing and electronic products, reliability, sensing, and control would be an asset.
- Knowledge of plumbing regulatory requirements would be an asset.
