Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at the Great Wall Restaurant.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Additionally, they will be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to restaurant standards.
  • Staff Training: Train new staff members in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Sourcing and Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment needed for the kitchen and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Certificate is mandatory.
