Overview


Montrose Environmental Group, a leading provider of environmental consulting and engineering services, is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.


This role will be 100% office-based and involves managing a broad range of projects within the Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and client communication.


Job Description


As a Senior Environmental Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for:



  • Actively participating and driving Matrix's strong safety culture
  • Supporting simple to moderately complex ARRM projects
  • Ensuring internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients' unique project needs
  • Managing project scopes, schedules and budgets
  • Coordinating with internal project teams across disciplines, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists and ecologists
  • Communicating with clients and project-related stakeholders
  • Managing client communications and expectations
  • Preparing technical correspondence, proposals, work plans and cost estimates
  • Functioning effectively within and contributing to the success of a collaborative team
  • Proactively engaging and participating in development opportunities and your career growth
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff members

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management or a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years' previous project management experience
  • Project management experience in ARRM projects in Western Canada or familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Workday software would be an asset
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with preparing work plans, cost estimates and scopes of work
  • Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail orientated, possess good organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize
  • Willingness to provide direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
  • A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions

Salary


The estimated salary for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
