About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Vice President to join our team at Gallagher Re. As a key member of our actuarial department, you will play a critical role in providing actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support to our Senior Actuaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for Gallagher Re's Senior Actuaries in their work for clients and prospects.
  • Account Analysis and Support: Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy.
  • Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience.
  • Manage projects and assist in training of staff.
  • Provide value-added service to clients as needed.
  • Market Research and Development: Assist Senior Actuaries in market and line of business studies to promote Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace.
  • Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re including other Actuaries, Catastrophe Modelers, Rating Agency Advisory, ERM and Capital Markets Associates.
Requirements
  • ACAS or FCAS
  • 5+ years in P&C actuarial role(s)
  • Ideally including experience in reinsurance or primary pricing roles
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Python and R a plus
  • Experience with stochastic modeling and cat models a plus
  • Authorized to work in the country to which you are applying on a permanent full-time basis
