The Role
This Senior Test Engineer position plays a critical role in supporting new product development (NPD) programs by delivering product design verification (DV). The successful candidate will closely interact with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for NPD programs.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and develop novel engineering test methods and fixtures for DV.
- Collaborate with test engineers, design engineers, and cross-functional teams to analyze product test failures and recommend solutions.
Qualifications
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, mechatronics, or similar); an Advanced degree is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of test/design/systems engineering experience in a product development environment, some of which is within medical device R&D. Strong analytical skills, using engineering principles for problem-solving during NPD, are essential. Hands-on experience developing and qualifying engineering test methods & tools, as well as managing and delivering design verification in a highly regulated industry, are also required.
