About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading group fitness classes, providing instruction and supervision to participants, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective fitness classes that cater to different ages and abilities.
  • Provide clear instructions and demonstrations, ensuring participants understand the exercises and techniques.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, responding to questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a seamless delivery of programs and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Group Fitness certification (BCRPA or equivalent) and Standard First Aid/CPR 'C' certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse groups and situations.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience with various types of exercise equipment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and participant safety.
