Job Title: Restaurant Operations Director

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Director to lead our team at Subway Sandwichs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing restaurant operations, supervising staff, and driving sales growth.

About the Role:

As a Restaurant Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory management, customer service, and quality control. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff: Lead a team of restaurant staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food products.
  • Train staff: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, focusing on customer service, food preparation, and operational procedures.
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures: Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities to improve menu offerings, promotions, and operational processes, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms: Manage cash handling, banking, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
  • Conduct performance reviews: Regularly assess employee performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to help employees meet performance expectations.
  • Cost products and services: Analyze and optimize product costs, menu pricing, and supplier contracts to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
  • Organize and maintain inventory: Ensure accurate inventory management, minimizing waste and excess stock, while maintaining optimal levels of inventory to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: Implement and maintain health and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to secure competitive prices.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies, promoting the brand and driving sales growth.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customer service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience and encouraging customer loyalty.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations: Oversee daily restaurant operations, setting priorities, allocating resources, and monitoring performance to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

To succeed as a Restaurant Operations Director at Subway Sandwichs, you will need:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years: Experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a management role.
  • Excellent oral communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent written communication: Ability to write clear, concise reports, emails, and other documents to communicate with stakeholders.
  • Client focus: A customer-centric approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
