About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Superintendent to oversee our client's residential single family construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Supervision: Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and trades to ensure quality workmanship and safety standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds the company's quality standards, building codes, and specifications.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with a focus on single-family home construction.
  • Education: A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction processes, Alberta Building Codes, and local regulations.
  • Skills: Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate construction teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Certification: Valid First Aid/CPR and safety certifications (e.g., COR, WHMIS) are an asset.
