About the Role

As a Site Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of residential construction projects for Qualico Canada. Reporting to the Construction Manager, your responsibilities will encompass directing on-site teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and managing project timelines and budgets.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to schedule material deliveries and labor needs. Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee work meets Qualico's rigorous standards and all building codes.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications, identifying potential issues or discrepancies and communicating them effectively to the project management team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by conducting pre-possession home inspections with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the project management team to resolve any identified deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate project schedules, generate regular progress reports, and provide updates to the project management team.
  • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing Qualico's Safety Program and relevant legislation. Conduct site safety orientations, lead regular safety meetings, and ensure all required reporting is completed accurately.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in the residential construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and construction management software (BuildPro, NewStar, etc.).
  • Physical ability to perform basic construction tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience managing multiple construction sites is an asset.
