Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Research Analyst to join our team at the Infinity Women Secretariat. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of policies and research initiatives that promote the well-being of Red River Métis women, girls, and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop analytical frameworks for research and policy development, ensuring consistency with IWS and MMF policies;
  • Conduct qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods to collect and review data, and conduct analyses;
  • Undertake research and analysis of social and political issues to identify implications related to the negotiation process;
  • Engage with legal professionals and public policy experts to interpret federal legislation, reporting processes, and policy implications for the Red River Métis community;
  • Research comparable policies from other jurisdictions and provide policy advice and analysis.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and several years of experience in research, policy, and program development. You will also need to have experience developing and implementing strategies and frameworks for policy development, conducting research, data analysis, writing reports and evaluations, and developing presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
  • Knowledge of IWS, Red River Métis culture, and MMF programs and services is a definite asset;
  • Ability to travel and valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
