Key Responsibilities:- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities in a collaborative and respectful manner.
- Participate in pool programs, academic support, and implement special programs to enhance student learning.
- Modify programs and support learning for students with learning disabilities and speech/language issues.
- Perform outside yard duties, lifting, toileting, and/or pool duties as required.
- Community college diploma in Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Care/Worker, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience with school-aged special needs children.
- Valid First Aid certification/CPR Level C.
- Completed Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, TCI, and/or Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training.
- DSW/CYW certification.
- Experience in an ASD program.
- ABA training/experience.
- Assistive Technology skills, including Boardmaker and PECS.
