Job Title: Telecommunications Cable Installer

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Cable Installer to join our team at Net Term Solutions Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and cables. This includes working with aerial and underground systems, testing equipment, and completing reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation or vehicle supplied by employer
  • Public transportation available
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week. The work environment is varied, with tasks performed in different locations, including installation, maintenance, and on-site customer service.
