Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Cable Installer to join our team at Net Term Solutions Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, as well as testing equipment to locate transmission faults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Vehicle supplied by employer
  • Public transportation is available
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work at heights. The ability to distinguish between colours and manual dexterity are essential for this role.
