Job Title: Telecommunications Cable Installer

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Cable Installer to join our team at Net Term Solutions Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability in our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults and ensure optimal network performance.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and maintain equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets to ensure seamless network connectivity.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access and ensure high-speed connectivity.
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems to prevent downtime and ensure network reliability.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to restore network functionality.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable connections.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation or ability to use public transportation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing and working aloft.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Flexibility, judgement, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
