Job Summary

At EPL Plastics, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting machine operators and assemblers in the manufacturing process, transporting materials and tools to and from work areas, and performing various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our production line.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist machine operators or assemblers in the manufacturing process
- Transport materials and tools to and from work areas
- Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
- Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae
- Unload mixtures into containers or conveyors for further processing
- Place weighed materials in mixing machines
- Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity
- Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes
- Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
- Assist in the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment
- Monitor and inspect the quality of materials produced
- Perform trimming and sanding of plastic or fiberglass parts
- Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Willingness to relocate and work on-site
