Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at HealthVenture Staffing Ltd. as a Nursing Care Assistant - Support Worker. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Supply and empty bed pans, and serve meal trays to patients.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to detail.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, and answer call signals to determine patients' needs.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
  • Adult Abuse Registry check
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks. The successful candidate will be physically demanding and require attention to detail.
