About the Role

As an experienced leader, you will oversee the delivery of Home Equity Financing programs at Royal Bank of Canada. You will partner with Product, Architecture, and Technical Leads to implement engineering best practices and promote Agile Values and Principles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage program roadmap, deliverables, financial management, vendor relationships, and provide regular updates on delivery progress and efficiency metrics to senior leadership.
  • Leverage technical expertise to manage software releases from sprint through to QE test, UAT, and deployment across multiple workstreams.
  • Implement Agile practices, coach teams, and individuals to promote business agility, DevOps, and Agile best practices and mindset.
  • Oversee team structure, skillset requirements, and support execution of hiring and onboarding contractors and full-time employees, benchmarking skillset gaps with regular updates and reporting.
  • Accountable for forecasting, team allocation, and managing program financials to ensure forecasted spend aligns with allocated funds.
  • Prepare influential C-level reports on achievements, milestones, progress on deliverables, risks, issues, financials, and staffing.
  • Proactively remove impediments to delivery success through dependency management, team problem-solving, and development of new solutions or approaches.

Requirements

  • Strong bias for action, handling multiple priorities simultaneously, with 10+ years of experience as a Delivery lead applying Waterfall and Agile principles.
  • 10-15 years of experience working with engineering teams to develop software and services, with previous experience managing $5 million+ budgets.
  • Undergraduate Degree, Certified Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner / PMP certification, and advanced knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Project Financial Tools.
  • Strong collaborator, servant leader with a delivery mindset and focus on bringing value to end-users, demonstrated ability to build and lead teams of various sizes.

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum
