About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Wapiti Community Support Association.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals in need, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, fostering social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, demonstrating quick thinking and calm under pressure.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, including taking vital signs and providing emotional support.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
