Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for establishing business partner relationships with senior leaders of respective lines of business, providing financial reporting and analysis to enable informed decision-making. You will also establish and monitor key revenue and expense drivers, develop forecasting, planning, and analytical support through aggregate financial plans.
In addition, you will maintain an accurate and up-to-date view of business financial performance, providing analysis and advice to the enterprise on initiatives. Other responsibilities include acting as a concierge to broker other services from the Finance division to senior leaders, identifying needs and opportunities.
You will integrate risk management processes related to achieving our long and short-term financial goals, ensuring ongoing identification, monitoring, and assessment of risks of not achieving these goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution (or equivalent)
- Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience at a senior consultant level or higher (would be an asset)
- Business acumen in the context of the financial industry (would be an asset)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create clear understanding of expectations, address challenges, and issues for the business unit; and represent the unit across the organization
- Knowledge of related finance concepts, practices, and techniques
- Planning and coordination skills to develop operating plans, processes, methods, and standards for a unit and to coordinate delivery of programs and services
- Research and analytical skills to assess and recommend course of action on trends, and identify risks and opportunities that may impact the unit
