Job Title: Youth Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Youth Program Coordinator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing youth programs and services that promote the well-being and empowerment of Indigenous youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement youth programs and services, including life skills workshops, counseling sessions, and community outreach activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Provide support and guidance to Indigenous youth, including crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program evaluations and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including program statistics and client information.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work, education, or community development.
  • Experience working with Indigenous youth and communities, preferably in a program coordination or leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
