About This Role

As a Senior Financial Project Specialist at Stantec Consulting International Ltd., you will play a key role in the financial management of projects assigned by the Project Accounting Lead. Your primary responsibilities will include project setup, maintenance, invoicing, and project closure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a customer-centric focus while delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal business partners, including Project Managers and Project Manager Assistants, to provide trusted advice and support.
  • Evaluate project setup and budget change documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal controls, and IFRS standards.
  • Collaborate with Stantec's finance team in India to ensure timely delivery and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Prepare internal and external audit support and respond to inquiries from PA Leadership and Finance Managers.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Project Accounting experience is preferred but not required; recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Oracle is not required but is preferred.
  • General accounting knowledge obtained through experience and/or education is essential.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills are required, with an intermediate level understanding preferred.
About the Opportunity

This is a full-time position that will primarily work in an office environment with potential for partial work from home. The salary range for this role is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
