Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Planning expert to join our team at Vancity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial planning and analysis support to senior leaders of the respective line of business.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing a business partner relationship with senior leaders to provide financial reporting and analysis that enables informed decision making.
  • Developing and maintaining key revenue and expense drivers on an ongoing basis, and providing forecasting, planning, and analytical support through the development of the aggregate financial plan.
  • Broking other services from the Finance division to senior leaders by identifying their needs and opportunities.
  • Integrating risk management processes to ensure the ongoing identification, monitoring, and assessment of risks related to achieving Vancity's long and short-term financial goals.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a senior consultant level or higher (would be an asset).
  • Business acumen in the context of the financial industry (would be an asset).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create clear understanding of expectations, address challenges and issues, and represent the unit across the organization.
  • Knowledge of related finance concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Planning and coordination skills to develop operating plans, processes, methods, and standards for a unit and to coordinate delivery of programs and services.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to diagnose challenges and issues, develop innovative business solutions, and assess risks and opportunities that may affect the unit and/or designated unit.
  • Research and analytical skills to assess and recommend courses of action on trends and identify risks and opportunities that may impact the unit.About You

    The salary range for this role is $81,200 to $101,600 per year, based on your qualifications and experience.
